January 6^th, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Hebei Province issued a Class A Environmental Protection Certificate to HBIS Tangsteel New Plant.

HBIS has been working on a green path to build an ecological friendly civilization and strong manufacturer strategy to lead a green, sustainable and high quality development of steel industry in recent years. HBIS Tangsteel implemented HBIS strategy, keep green development as Tangsteel top priority and source reduction, process control and terminal treat all contribute to the design emission level, which are 10% lower than the strictest industral standards. An integrated and efficient process design helps to reduce the carbon consumption and CO₂ emission.

The Class A Certificate will give HBIS Tangsteel more momentum to lead the green development of the new plant by applying desulfurization and denitrification procedures, low N₂ burning technology+ smoke & dust desulfurization super cleaning system, LT dry electrical dust reduction, dry fix base desulfurization+low N₂ burning technologies to effectively reduce the emission of all pollutants. A fully enclosed material transport gallary, China’s first hydrogen energy trucks, an intelligent & environmental friendly entrance control integrated with transportation and weighing system gives a 85% higher cleaning transportation system. Overall, Tangsteel New Plant credits are 80% superior than the Class A demands. By taking advantages of integreated digital intelligent management systems, a realtime environment monitor system is operating and adopting a warning threshold, only 80% of ultra low emission requirments. Early warning and precision control measures are taken to ensure a long term stable operation while keeping low emission levels.
